Chinese Medicine Horary Chart

How cool is this? It’s a Chinese Medicine Horary Chart

This little gem shows peak times of activation for all your meridians (invisible lines of energy that run through your body)

This means that at certain times of the day a certain organ will be more prominent.

For example people who have a few drinks the night before or who are really stressed will often wake between 1-3am. This is because it’s the Liver’s detoxing time and the liver controls stress and detoxification. Because our Livers are so busy detoxing, your body doesn’t have enough energy to stay asleep Another example is the Lung time frame. The main emotion associated with the Lung is grief so people who are grieving a loss will often wake at that time

If you feel sleepy, angry or dopey at a certain time it might be worth checking in on your internal clock and seeing which organ needs some TLC

NB: The 9-11pm time is traditionally the time of the Triple Warmer. On this chart it is adrenals and thyroid because the Triple Warmer is a tricky concept and some charts merge eastern and western medicine.
