Roogenic has partnered with Indigenous communities and small farmers that share their vision of growing the bush food industry so the people of Australia and the world, can utilise their incredible health benefits.
The small family business was launched in 2015, serving ice teas brewed with native Australian plants at the Fremantle Markets in Western Australia.They are now a wellness company proudly making functional products that marry the traditional medicinal use of bush tucker with scientific research to help improve the livelihood of people looking for natural health solutions. Many of their native ingredients are wildly harvested, the term refers to Indigenous Australians using their knowledge and wisdom to source high-quality rare ingredients.
These Indigenous growers do so responsibly, grooming the trees and taking care of the precious native plants our country has to offer in a perfectly natural way. They take what they need to sell — always making sure the natural balance of the ecosystem is not affected.
Some remote Indigenous communities depend on wild harvesting to survive financially. It is the only income option they have due to their geographical isolation, and it's also the means in which they share their culture and knowledge to future generations.
